Awards
Recognizing the Contributors to Amateur Radio
Each year at HamCation the committee presents awards to members of the amateur radio community who have demonstrated commitment, dedication and contribution that goes above and beyond. These individuals are not ones to seek recognition for what they do; they do it because they want to contribute to amateur radio as a community. Each of the awardees has made a significant contribution that sustains and grows that community and these awards identify and recognize outstanding individuals each year.
In 2026 a new addition award will be added, The Amateur Radio Hero Award. This award recognizes those who showed outstanding dedication to public service using their amateur radio equipment and skills during a disaster or a moment of need.
